Created 2 Monsters

When I had kids, one of my first priorities was I wanted them to be good swimmers. So with that in mind I took Tess swimming from 12 weeks old each week. I did a step by step intro course online so I kind of knew what I was doing. It just taught me how to go about putting her head under water and how she learnt to hold her breath as a baby.

I did this with Jaz as well at 12 weeks (but not a regually, poor second child), she has also taken to swimming like a fish to water. So it's all not hunky dory in the crazy swimming girls world, for their poor parents. I now have 2 exteamly confident children around water who want to be into it no matter what. No matter who is with them or not, who don't want to be held in deep water, who don't know the dangers that they are in.

So I have created 2 monsters which makes my life no so fun. It's now hard work when I want to take them swimming on my own. Tess wants to jump in the deep end and not stay in the kiddy pool, Jaz is only happy when she is putting her face in the water.

I guess you have to be careful what you wish for.

DOLLY'S COMING TO MELBOURNE!!!!!!

Yes it is true. She is  one of my favorite people in the world and I love her. I have always loved a bit of country music and I believe she is in a league of her own.

I will be getting tickets to her concert at the end of this year and I know I will be copping it from all directions. I asked my husband if he wanted to come and he just laughed at me. My sister will bag me out for the rest of the year.

Everyone goes on about how Whitney Houston song 'I will always love you' was amazing. Who do you think wrote it about her 1st ever manager and sang the song herself. No one other than Dolly.

Do yourself a favour and get onto youtube and listen to some of her songs. They are great!!!!

Who else out ther loves the DOLLY????

Gymnastics or ballet????

We are tossing up between Ballet or gymnastics for our 2 y.o Tess? Maybe she is already telling us.

Tuesday 7 June 2011

After having my 2nd daughter Jasmin nearly a year ago. I asked the midwife how soon could I start exercising without sounding like a psycho fitness freak. I am not a fitness freak I just was aware of the weight I had put on and was keen to get the weight moving. I don't do gyms well as I seem to lack motivation and my self motitation had a lot to be desired.
I found a circuit class that runs once a week at the local rec center so I stared going along. I told my sister, friends from school, my mothers group friends and now when I go to my class so does everyone else.
The reason I am putting this up today is because at 5:30 this arvo I looked out my window and saw the wind blowing and the rain coming in from the side and thought... Nope i'm not going tonight. Well I did go coz I knew everyone else was going to be there. Well everyone else was there all saying 'how cold is it, I wasn't going to come, I'm sure it's 7 degrees outside'. However we did our class, we sweated, we chatted, we laughed, we sledged each other and none of us regreted going out in the freezing cold to exercise.

Introduction, Hi I'm Kerryn.

Hi,
Thanks for stopping by to read my first entry.  I have never blogged before and never really thought about it either, so this is a new world to me and I am going in with my eyes wide open.
I ran a 10km fun run yesterday with a friend I meet through my girls. After the run we went out to lunch with a few people my friend had meet through blogging. So I didn't know anyone at lunch and they taught me the world of blogging and encouraged me to give it a go. So here I am giving it a go.

I like to think I am a fairly possitive person and believe you can do anything if you put your mind to it. I have lived overseas, studying nursing in my mid 20's and worked in many different difficult jobs and situations. I can say with all these things I have done, I have been in way over my head and really looked at my life and said to myself, you either sink or you swim. Here I am with my head above water and I fell like I can do anything.

Having children was always something I knew I would always do. However I never realised I would be pushed to my limits and my patients tested. But here I am ready to face a new day.

Thanks for stopping by.
